Printmaking Workshops

Hands-on printmaking for schools, libraries, museums, businesses, and communities.

Iron Frog Press brings printmaking beyond the studio. Our hands-on programs give participants the opportunity to learn, experiment, and create their own prints. Programs can be adapted to different ages, settings, group sizes, and goals.

COMMUNITY PRINTMAKING

COLLABORATIVE POSTER PROJECT

This multi-session project brings participants together to create a shared community poster. Participants learn basic linoleum block transfer and cutting techniques, carve their own blocks, and work together to create the poster design.

The group then prints the edition together and finishes by reviewing and signing the completed prints. The project encourages creativity, collaboration, individual authorship, and an introduction to the tradition of limited-edition printmaking.

Take Home

Each participant takes home a signed print from the completed edition.

CORPORATE TEAM-BUILDING

CREATE. COLLABORATE. PRINT.

Take your team out of the usual meeting environment and into the printmaking process.

Our corporate team-building programs give groups a chance to work together, experiment, and create something by hand. We can customize programs for your group, event, and goals.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

PRINTMAKING FOR EDUCATORS

Hands-on professional development introduces teachers to printmaking history, techniques, and tips and tricks they can take back to their classrooms.

We can adapt our programs to your educators' and students' needs.

WE BRING PRINTMAKING TO YOU

HAVE SOMETHING ELSE IN MIND?

Not every program fits into a standard workshop.

We can work with your organization to develop a printmaking experience around your audience, space, schedule, or community.

LET'S CREATE TOGETHER

Bring printmaking to your school, library, museum, business, festival, or community.

In this workshop, participants will learn composition considerations, transfer methods, basic carving techniques, proofing, and how to print an edition with one or two linoleum blocks. All skill levels are welcome. We will provide participants with a choice of images to select from and all the materials to complete an edition of prints.
