This model is a larger version of our renowned "Studio" Print Frog® Glass Baren™ that we call the "Bullfrog." It is designed to provide an exceptional hand-printing experience, especially when working with thicker paper.
 
As well as printing, it can be helpful in paper-making, for chine-collé, heavy folding paper, tagging paper for registration, and anywhere you need an extremely clean weight. It effortlessly prints on mulberry and Kozo-type papers and works on various substrates such as heavy etching paper, vellum, copy paper, transparent silk, and more.
 
Matt Bagley, a pioneer in the field of barens for relief printmaking, designed this tool. It's the first-ever glass baren for this purpose. Look for the Iron Frog Press "Frog" logo to ensure you have an authentic product. Rest assured that you're getting the best quality product. We work with the most skilled glassblowers in Dallas, and all IFP glass is hand-blown. 'Studio' models use recycled glass, and there may be slight variations in size, shape, and color.
